1. About Junior Poets
Junior Poets provides opportunities for young writers and poets to participate in poetry competitions, creative programs, educational activities, publication opportunities, and related initiatives.
Our goal is to encourage creativity, confidence, self-expression, and an appreciation for poetry and writing among young people.
Junior Poets competitions and programs may have additional rules, eligibility requirements, deadlines, judging criteria, submission requirements, and award information. Any competition-specific rules published on the applicable competition page form part of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility and Participation
Junior Poets competitions are intended for participants who meet the eligibility requirements stated on the relevant competition page.
Because many Junior Poets participants are minors, competition entries may be submitted or managed by a parent, legal guardian, teacher, educator, or another authorized adult where required.
By submitting an entry on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are authorized to provide the information and submission and to agree to the applicable competition terms on the participant’s behalf.
Eligibility, age groups, geographic restrictions, submission limits, deadlines, and other requirements may vary between competitions.
3. Competition Entries
All competition entries must comply with the rules displayed on the applicable competition page.
Unless otherwise stated, submissions must be the participant’s own original work and must not infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Junior Poets may reject, remove, or disqualify an entry if it does not comply with the competition rules, contains inappropriate or unlawful material, exceeds applicable submission requirements, is plagiarized, is submitted under false information, or otherwise violates these Terms.
Where a competition prohibits or restricts the use of artificial intelligence or other automated tools, entries that violate those restrictions may be disqualified.
Submission of an entry does not guarantee selection, publication, recognition, an award, or any other particular result.
4. Judging and Results
Entries may be reviewed based on criteria published for the relevant competition, which may include originality, creativity, theme relevance, expression, language, presentation, age appropriateness, or other stated criteria.
Judging necessarily involves subjective evaluation. Junior Poets may appoint judges, reviewers, educators, writers, poets, or other qualified individuals to review submissions.
Competition decisions are final unless Junior Poets determines that a correction is required because of an administrative, eligibility, technical, or verification issue.
Junior Poets may verify submission information with a parent, guardian, teacher, school, or other appropriate source when reasonably necessary to confirm eligibility or authenticity.
5. Publication and Use of Submitted Work
By submitting content to Junior Poets, you confirm that you have the right and authority to submit the material.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable competition rules or submission form, you grant Junior Poets and Creative Sprouts Inc. permission to display, reproduce, publish, format, edit for layout, and promote submitted work in connection with Junior Poets competitions, websites, publications, magazines, social media, result announcements, promotional materials, and related educational or editorial activities.
Ownership of the participant’s original work remains with the participant, subject to the permissions granted through participation.
Where Junior Poets publishes a participant’s work, we may display information such as the participant’s first name or credited name, age category, title of the work, award or recognition status, and other information permitted through the applicable submission process.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Junior Poets website, brand identity, logos, graphics, layouts, written website content, competition materials, software, and other materials created by Junior Poets or Creative Sprouts Inc. are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, republish, or commercially exploit Junior Poets materials without prior written authorization, except where permitted by law.
Participant-created poems and other submissions remain subject to the ownership and publication provisions described above.
7. User Accounts
Certain Junior Poets services may require an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
You agree to provide accurate and current information and to promptly update information when necessary.
Junior Poets may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, enforce competition rules, maintain platform security, or comply with legal obligations.
8. Teachers, Schools, and Educators
Teachers and educators may use Junior Poets tools to manage participants and competition submissions.
Teachers or schools submitting information on behalf of students are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate authority or permission to provide student and parent information to Junior Poets.
Information submitted through teacher or school accounts must be accurate and used only for legitimate educational and competition-related purposes.
9. Purchases, Publications, and Payments
Junior Poets may offer magazines, publications, certificates, merchandise, or other products or services for purchase.
Prices, shipping charges, taxes, availability, and applicable purchase terms are displayed during the relevant transaction or ordering process.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Junior Poets does not necessarily store complete payment card information directly.
Purchasing a product is separate from participation in a competition unless explicitly stated otherwise.
No purchase is required to consent to or decline SMS communications, and SMS consent is not a condition of purchase or competition entry.
10. Refunds and Order Issues
Refund eligibility may depend on the product, fulfillment status, customization, publication status, or circumstances of the transaction.
If you believe an order was placed incorrectly or there is a problem with a Junior Poets purchase, contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

20. Changes to Competitions and Programs
Junior Poets may modify, postpone, extend, suspend, or cancel a competition or program when reasonably necessary because of operational, technical, legal, judging, participation, security, or other circumstances.
